“Waterfalls” is a song by American girl group TLC, released in 1995 as the second single from their album “CrazySexyCool.” The song was written by band member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Marqueze Etheridge, and Organized Noize and was produced by the latter two. “Waterfalls” is a mid-tempo R&B and hip hop ballad with lyrics that address the themes of love, greed, and the dangers of the drug trade. The accompanying music video for “Waterfalls” was directed by F. Gary Gray and released in 1995. The video features the band members singing and dancing in various colorful, surreal settings and includes a narrative story about a young man who becomes involved in the drug trade.
